We were on the topic of people commonly mistaking being articulate for being intelligent.

I said that people often thought me intelligent when I was merely being articulate.

PJ promptly asked if this was the cue for doppy to jump to my defense and proclaim that I was intelligent.

Doppy's classic reply: "You are not exactly the most intelligent tree in the forest."
