Job Applications

Believe it or not, I have never submitted a job application before in my entire life (does registering with a job agency when I was 18 count?). Thus this entire application for job openings in the Open Posting Exercise is new to me. After signing on the dotted line that sold 5 years of my life to the Ministry of Education, I have never had to look for a job on my own before.

Just today alone, I have submitted applications for 4 different positions: Curriculum Policy & Pedagogy Officer, Curriculum Planning Officer, Education Technology Officer & Staff Training Officer. I am still considering two other positions, Teaching Fellow at NIE (distance is major off-putting!) and a position with a stat board, Singapore Evaluation & Assessment Board (SEAB).
And guess what! I have already received a call for an interview with ETD! Gosh! I couldn't decide if they were 1. desperate, 2. used to hauling every candidate down for an interview, 3. found an ideal candidate in me?

My monies are on the first 2 guesses but hey, I am going to take all the chances that come my way man. I will going for an interview this Friday afternoon. Wish me luck!
