Yep. I am a sucker for awards and prizes. I figured that since I would never be able to finish reading all the books in the world, I might as well read award-winning ones so that at least I can either affirm the award or disagree with the judges' tastes. :)

It helps that it has blurbs from The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, The New York Times Review etc etc.
