Motherhood & GSS Are Bad for the Pockets!

The day of reckoning came on my birthday.

Petals, Phoenix and Hello Kitty came over to my place with lunch to surprise me and after a most satisfying lunch, I asked if anyone was free to go shopping with me. It turned out that Petals was free and so I thought this would be the perfect day for me to see what new clothes I need to add to my wardrobe to update it for my new job.

And so I finally got off my lazy arse and took out the clothes I had condemned to cold storage after I got pregnant. I chose the loosest fitting ones to try one and even then, I could not button the tops and zip up the bottoms. :( And there I was thinking I just need to throw out the ones that were quite worn out or dated in look and replaced them. Little did I know that I could not fit into any of my pregnancy clothes!

Since it was the Great Singapore Sale and I had Petals with me, I thought there was no better time to go shopping. Moreover I was to meet up with doppy for my birthday dinner and so I thought I might as well head down to Suntec City to get some shopping down before meeting him.

And so it was, my spending for the day.

Iora - 6 pcs = 177.30
Verge - 1 pc = $68.80
Wanko - 2 pcs = $134.20
Fashion Lab - 1 pc = $66.40
ClothesPLAY - 2 pcs = $33

Total Damage = $479.70

Mind you, all the above were discounted prices no less! And I still need to get a couple of tops and shirts to go with the bottoms I bought. We spent so much time in the fitting room that I did not even have the chance to pop down to G2000 which was initially my shop of choice.

Sigh. So yes, I am dead broke this month. Then again, it's between an empty pocket or turning up for work in my naked self. I don't have much of a choice, do I? :(

well let's put it this way.

The fact that you got 12 pieces of clothing for the money you spent, I think is pretty good. At least you have a whole new wardrobe now.

You could have done alot worse! Trust me :)
